How to print them

  1. Thicker paper or card stock feels more like a real deck. Ordinary printer paper works too.
  2. Print single-sided at 100% scale (“actual size”).
  3. Cut along the dashed lines. Each sheet gives eight cards.
  4. Shuffle, put them face down and take turns drawing.

  1. What is something you are weirdly good at?
  2. What is your most controversial food opinion?
  3. What is something you believed as a kid that turned out to be wrong?
  4. What's a smell that takes you straight back to childhood?
  5. What's a question you wish people asked you more often?
  6. Action card: Show each other the last photo in your camera roll and explain it.

Things I Love About You

  1. What is a small thing I do that makes you feel loved?
  2. Finish the sentence: "I feel most loved when you…"
  3. What is a habit of mine you found annoying at first and now kind of love?
  4. What is something about me you hope never changes?
  5. Action card: Give each other a 30-second compliment without stopping. No repeating yourself.

How We Fight

  1. When we argue, what do you need from me most — space, a hug, or to be heard?
  2. What does a good apology look like to you?
  3. What is a fight we had that you now find funny?
  4. What's one thing about our conflicts that has improved since we met?
  5. Action card: Look each other in the eyes and say: "Even when we fight, we are on the same team." Hold hands for 20 seconds.

Money, Home & Life

  1. Are you a spender or a saver? What makes you say that?
  2. What chore do you secretly hate the most?
  3. What is your definition of "clean enough"?
  4. What would you do with an unexpected windfall of money?
  5. Action card: Swap one chore with each other for the coming week. Decide which ones now.

Couple’s Voyage

  1. If our love story were made into a movie, what would be the title and which actors would play us?
  2. What is your favorite memory of our relationship so far?
  3. What was the first thing you noticed about me?
  4. What is something we are weirdly good at?

Shared Values

  1. How do you express love and affection?
  2. How do you define success in life?
  3. How do you define and pursue happiness?
  4. Action card: Each person shares one thing they are grateful for about the other.

Have You Ever?

  1. Have you ever tried a weird food combination and liked it?
  2. Have you ever burst out laughing in a quiet room?
  3. Have you ever accidentally called your boss or teacher "Mom" or "Dad"?
  4. Have you ever laughed so hard you snorted your drink out of your nose?

Hypothetical Scenarios

  1. If you could have any superpower just for a day, what would it be?
  2. Imagine you can time travel; which era would you visit first?
  3. If you found a magic lamp, what would your three wishes be?
  4. If you had to live on a desert island with only three items, what would they be?

Planning a Family

  1. What traditions from your childhood would you like to pass on?
  2. How do you envision daily family life?
  3. What’s your view on pets and their role in a family?

Hobbies & Leisure

  1. What hobby have you always wanted to try but haven't yet?
  2. What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy day?
  3. What sport or game are you surprisingly good at?
  4. Action card: Each person says two truths and one lie about their hobbies; the other guesses the lie.

Inner Struggles

  1. Do you have a fear that you feel is irrational? What is it?
  2. How do you comfort yourself after a difficult day?
  3. What personal victory have you achieved that might seem small to others but is significant to you?
  4. What words of encouragement do you offer yourself during tough times?
